HVAC and production cooling applications are now moving closer and closer to achieving sustainability and environmental targets that reflect what the equipment supply market can deliver.

It is now unnecessary to fit leak detection to R407 cooling equipment in order that BREEAM can be satisfied, neither is it necessary to install production cooling systems that will not deliver FREE recycled waste heat at over 70ºC.

Tremendous payback levels can be achieved by installing CO2 packaged water chillers.

This is the reason that Pure Thermal have launched a range of packaged water chillers that are cable of delivering output temperatures as low as -15ºC but are quite comfortable operating at standard building cooling system temperatures of 12ºC to 7ºC.

Clearly a packaged water chiller operating with a refrigerant offering a GWP of 1 will score extremely well where BREEAM credits are concerned.

R744 or CO2 as it is more widely recognized provides a refrigerant choice, which is not only proven but also widely applied in the retail and hospitality sectors.
